[lyrics]All I Want Is You by Barry Louis Polisar If I was a flower growing wild and free
All I'd want is you to be my sweet honey bee.
And if I was a tree growing tall and green
All I'd want is you to shade me and be my leaves
If I was a flower growing wild and free
All I'd want is you to be my sweet honey bee.
And if I was a tree growing tall and green
All I'd want is you to shade me and be my leaves
All I want is you, will you be my bride
Take me by the hand and stand by my side
All I want is you, will you stay with me?
Hold me in your arms and sway me like the sea.
If you were a river in the mountains tall,
The rumble of your water would be my call.
If you were the winter, I know I'd be the snow
Just as long as you were with me, let the cold winds blow
All I want is you, will you be my bride
Take me by the hand and stand by my side
All I want is you, will you stay with me?
Hold me in your arms and sway me like the sea.
If you were a wink, I'd be a nod
If you were a seed, well I'd be a pod.
If you were the floor, I'd wanna be the rug
And if you were a kiss, I know I'd be a hug
All I want is you, will you be my bride
Take me by the hand and stand by my side
All I want is you, will you stay with me?
Hold me in your arms and sway me like the sea.
If you were the wood, I'd be the fire.
If you were the love, I'd be the desire.
If you were a castle, I'd be your moat,
And if you were an ocean, I'd learn to float.
All I want is you, will you be my bride
Take me by the hand and stand by my side
All I want is you, will you stay with me?
Hold me in your arms and sway me like the sea.
Initial thoughts on the lyrics, will be that it is so lame, and it sucks, but it doesn't. There's something to this song, that makes you happy. It's probably that unconditional love feeling you get from hearing it. The
intro to Juno is done by shadowplay studios who
hand drew the entire intro song. It looks like the good old way of animation, the one that's cool and captures the entire essence that Juno is really a kid. Yeah, yeah, all 16 year olds think that they are an adult, and I've been there, so I've definitely thought it then too, but they're still just kids. Sometimes, life throws something at you, that you have to deal with and that makes you grow up. Anyways, the main point, the intro is very original and good due to that respect. A classic idea, taken on a new fresh spin. :) [I take little details WAY too seriously]
To the actual film Juno. Brief summary - girl gets knocked up - she needs to figure out what to do with it - lots of family drama - with a comedic twists. The screenwriter is named
Diablo Cody, a stripper turned writer. She writes a bitchin' character for Juno, spunky teenage kid who is very outspoken but very real. Ellen Page being such an awesome actress portrayed that really well. It is a comedic drama in every essence, and it is definitely in the point of view of that teenage kid going through pregnancy at such a young age. It shows the reality of that, and Juno handles really well. You have to see the movie to truly respect this. Just a note, to fully understand Juno, it'd best to update yourself on teenage slang and lingo. She has the most catchy, dorky lines ever, that only the OC kids will never truly understand its appeal, but a fellow nerd adores. Even if you don't understand her references, Ellen Page fabulous actress.
Micheal Cera, most awkward kid ever! I love it. It's so adorable, definitely appeals to my love of nerds. His voice cracks in every scene, it's brilliant. Question is, was that intentional?
Nonetheless, AWESOME MOVIE! Brilliant flick for all ages(over 13). If you are a conservative catholic this might not be your cup of tea, but recall its important to support fellow up-and-coming Canadians.
Juno, made me fall in love with
Kimya Dawson. She's this indie rocker chick. Big hair, soft voice, with catchy little lyrics. But, not crap britney spears gimme more shit lyrics, but good ones. Some of her songs have her little one, which is very cute, and she even formed a little band for them called
antsy pants. A cute little band with kids, singing kids song and not disney bullcrap. I love it. To be honest though...anything involving a little one, is an immediate heart stopper for me. One of her songs, called "My Mom" is one of my favourites, and also a sad song. It's really good though. "Tire Swing", "Loose Lips" and "I Like Giants" are also great tunes. Currently listening to them on my lovely iPod. Sometimes you can't resist but give into corporate capitalism, but in apples defense they create AWESOME products.
