Visual Artists, sketchbook inspiration

Rankin an artist from London, is a photographer. He has photographed famous celebrities to his own personal models. He is iconic and different because he has his own personal style, specifically the intimacy of all his portraits. He is a bit naughty with some of his pieces, but he holds the beauty and ability to see into his models and bring out a powerful persona within them. Today this icon has a world renown reputation as one of the world's leading photographers.

Victor Wang is a painter from China who "use[s] the human face as a vehicle to paint human experiences - worry and wonder, sadness and pleasure" often reflecting his own personal life experiences. Most of his paintings are portraits often incorporating the colours of sunflowers, and fields. This evoked memories of sad times and happy times during his childhood. His family and himself had be sent to a reeducation camp where he was forced to do grueling labour in fields, but even in his youth he was drawn to sunflowers for he used to frolic in the sunflower fields with his brother.

Jacques Resch is an oil painter and contemporary artist. He has "dedicated his life to his art, while being in Africa, and having major shows in Europe."

I only have seen his own personal site, so I do not have a lot of information on his, but his gallery is on his site, and it is amazing.
